  • 3 Yum!
Female lions eat 11 pounds of meat a day, male lions eat around 15 pounds a day. Most lion prides hunt daily. An adult lion needs about 11 to 15 lb (5 to 7 kg) of food per day, but feeding is often irregular and a male may eat 110 lb (50 kg) at one time.
  • 4 Tigers eat A LOT!
Tigers may consume up to 40 kg (88 pounds) of meat at one time. It is estimated that every tiger consumes about 50 deer-sized animals each year, about one per week.

  • 7 A Donkey's Diet
You will want to monitor how much grass your mini donkey eats and adjust the rest of its diet accordingly. Give the donkey about 2 lbs of barley, grass and timothy or orchard hay, two times each day. Never give them wheat or oat straw. The hay should be free from mold, dust and poisonous weeds.
  • 8 A Mini's diet
Mini horses will require a sweet feed, or grain, every day. Due to their smaller size, they will need to eat a minimum of twice a day, as opposed to a full size horse's once-a-day feeding.
  • 9 Oh Deer!
Well it turns out deer need to eat on average about 1 1/2 tons of food a year. Thats about 3,000 lbs annually! To put that into context, humans eat on average only about 1,500 lbs a year. (For your random facts of the day, of that 1,500 per year, the average person eats 50 lbs of cake or cookies, 5 lbs of potato chips and 2 lbs of pop corn!)
  • 10 We love water!
Bengal and other subspecies also demand a way to keep cool. Due to Tigers having a hard time acclimating to hot weather, in order to live, tigers have adapted to a love of water, spending much time there.
